Agroindustria Pinochet Fuenzalida Ltda.
During the 2003-2004 season, given the amount of fruit that was harvested and projecting future seasons, an idea began to take shape. The idea was to develop, design and build an agro-industrial plant with an initial production capacity of 15 -20 tons/day, mainly for berries. Over time, this project has evolved into a facility which, in the 2012-2013 season, reached a packing capacity of 150 tons/day of berries, and with a storage capacity of 6,500 tons of frozen products. The present storage capacity is expected to increase to 14,000 tons once the project is completed. This agro-industrial complex called APFRUT will reach by the end of 2014 a total area of 25.000 m2. The plant has the latest technology in every stage of its process: storage chambers, freezing tunnels, packaging rooms, maintenance shop, ensuring an IQF process free of cross contamination.
Today, APFRUT is able serve the most demanding customers worldwide, with a combination of state of the art technology and the work of a group of dedicated professionals, technicians and factory workers who relentlessly orchestrate the operation of the plant.
APFRUT’s main markets are Japan, Korea, Europe, the USA, Canada, and Brazil.
